THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the fully inspired and only infallible written word of God that is without error in its original manuscripts and has been written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the earliest translations are closer to what God intended in the originals due to the etymology of language throughout the ages. We believe that the Bible is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct and has application in all facets of the believer’s everyday living.
The Trinity
We believe that there is only one living and true God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that they are equal in divine perfection, power and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, redemption and are plural in majesty.
God the Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite personal spirit who is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of each person, that He hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all that come to Him through Jesus Christ. We also believe that it is His will that all men be saved and come into the knowledge of the truth.
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and visible return to Earth. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross also provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer and that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from both the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin and unrighteousness. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life. We believe that the Holy Spirit is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide on the Christian’s journey to spiritual maturity.
Christian Conduct
We believe that Christian should live for the glory of God and the well-being of others that their conduct should be blameless before the world that they should be faithful stewards of their possessions and that they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ. We believe that the Bible is the primary instructor of Christian conduct and that the Holy Spirit provides for its proper interpretation.
Last Things
We believe in the rapture of the church of God which is in Christ at his return. We believe that the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of his kingdom will be both personal and visible. We believe in the resurrection of the body, and the final judgment where the righteous will spend eternity with the Lord and the wicked shall suffer endlessly.
